Special Products From Gurrami
Gurrami’s dedicated farmers grow their kumquats without the use of pesticides and according to international standards of the G.A.P. farm assurance program. They harvest the kumquats as winter approaches and fly some of them over fresh to European markets whilst others are preserved in tins using no preservatives or additives, just water. This preserves their vibrant color and unique taste.
They are available for a wide range of uses, especially for adding interest and color to cocktails all year round.
Canned kumquats are generally used as an addition to dishes or drinks to add unique flavoring, color and interest and are not usually eaten on their own.
They are often used as an addition to cocktails, where they lift the drink to another level, adding color and sophistication. If added straight from the freezer, they can be used instead of ice cubes to cool a drink down without watering it down.
After being sweetened they can be added to main dishes and desserts adding color and their unique taste.
