Saba Habib, a boutique family olive press in the heart of the Galilee has been growing and manufacturing olive oil since 1913 and is one of the founders of the olive industry in the Galilee. Grandpa Habib and later,his sons and grandsons, cultivate olive trees and produce fine olive oil and a selection of products including: cracked green olives, Moroccan black olives and tahini.

Israel’s modern olive oil industry may be hi-tech oriented, but some uphold the value of ancient traditional ways of processing olives such as Saba Habib.
The olive tree and oil is central to Israeli culture, history, and cuisine. Olives are one of the seven natural products native to the Land of Israel and go far back to Biblical times. Olive oil is considered a culinary treasure and the base for many, many recipes making it far more than just another ingredient on your grocery list but part of Israel’s diverse cultural identity.

The Saba Habib factory is located in Kibbutz Parod in the Upper Galilee. The old oil press produces quality olive oil, traditionally cold-pressed, along with sophisticated technology that does not harm the quality of the oil and its health benefits. Saba Habib’s olive oil is known for its balanced taste, with the delicate spiciness and fruity texture of ripe and juicy olives.
At the Saba Habib visitor center, visitors partake in olive oil tastings, watch the production process, and buy olive oil, olives and tahini to take home.
