Gilro is a member of the PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers’ Association) and manufactures private label products based on specific customer requirements. Flexibility is our key ingredient and we strive to give each customer a tailor-made product, harnessing our extended knowledge, vast technical capabilities and agile approach to meet their unique needs.
Gilro’s factory is located in a large industrial complex in central Israel. As a prominent leader in the baked product industry, Gilro has 17 different production lines for the manufacture of ice cream cones, wafers, wafer rolls and other baked products. The production floor is fully automated and computer controlled with the most innovative technology in the field. We are constantly improving our capabilities in line with our customer’s demands.
Our entire facility is ISO, HACCP, BRC and GMP compliant.
We are kosher with the approval of the Ultra-orthodox Religious Court of Jerusalem and also vegan and dairy free!!
A Little Bit of History
In 1950 the Gelbard family established a small production facility for baking ice cream cones.
For the first decades the factory operated on a relatively small scale, however in 1985 the family's second generation came onboard, bringing their business skills and vision. Shortly after, the company moved into its state of the art, modern production facility, making the first leap into the leading company they are.
Gilro witnessed the increasing demand for their products, nationwide and internationally and in 2006 a redacted export sales department was formed, offering Gilro’s products to the international market. A year later, the first gluten free line of products was launched, making it an immediate success with the ongoing demand and awareness for gluten free products. In 2020, Gilro was acquired by private equity group: "Green Lantern".
