For many generations the Assali family have been processing and pickling vegetables and olives for their family and friends. Their friends and family raved about how good their pickled foods were. This led Mohsen Assali to make the decision to share his products with others. He did not want to reveal his family’s secret recipes but instead decided to start manufacturing them for the mass market. Production started in 1980 and they have grown into a respected manufacturer. The popularity of their products has led to an expansion of their manufacturing facility to meet demand.

Initially the Assali family produced their pickled vegetables and olives at home using their secret family recipes. When they decided to start producing for the mass market, they had to open a manufacturing plant. To preserve their name as a quality producer, they have invested in top quality equipment to make sure that their products never fall short of expectations. They produce a wide range of authentic products including over eight types of pickled cucumbers which are grown in fields rather than in greenhouses , six types of processed olives, pickled eggplant, canned peppers, sauerkraut, tomato paste/concentrate, seasoned tomato sauces, and more.

The Pri-Chen factory is located in Kfar Kara and is equipped with high quality manufacturing equipment allowing them to produce ISO certified, Kosher, and FDA registered and approved products. To meet demand they are currently building a larger factory.
