Some people like to say that beauty is only skin deep. Perhaps, that is a superficial thing to say because when we look good, we feel good, when we look younger, we feel younger, when we look healthy we feel healthy.
We are bombarded by advertisements on all kinds of media extolling the virtues of various creams to rejuvenate skin and keep it healthy. Many of these products make unbelievable claims as to their effectiveness. Their claimed benefit over other products are their technological breakthroughs.
However, more and more, people are starting to shun these products in favour of simpler products that also claim to rejuvenate their skin and slow down the ageing process. The upcoming trend is to buy only organic beauty products. Why are they moving away from the most up to date, scientifically proven, big name products in favour of simpler, lesser known organic formulations?
Many people only eat organic products. They believe that products that are covered in chemical pesticides and other nasties are not great for eating, if that is so, they also do not wish to put them on their skin either.
As they are organic, there are no harsh chemicals in them. Harsh chemicals can cause irritation and other adverse skin effects.
There is a claim that organic skin care products actually work better. The level of antioxidants are actually normally higher in them than in chemical based products. With a higher level of antioxidants they will work better.
People are considering the environment more and more when buying products. Organic products only have natural ingredients. They therefore will produce less harmful, if any damage to the environment whilst they are being manufactured. On disposal they will be totally safe. Even the containers that organic products are packaged in are recyclable and more environmentally friendly.
When buying an organic beauty product it is important to know the providence of the product. Sometimes claims are made by manufacturers to lure people in are not always as they seem. However, there are companies such as Arugot who produce chemical and toxin free beauty products and aromatic oils who pride themselves in producing the best, healthiest, most authentic products possible. Outrageous claims and profit are not their most important factors.
As people start to think for themselves and are not swayed by big money commercials, they are starting to choose organic beauty products. To them the provenance of what they put on their skin is just as important as what they put in their mouths.
