It began in the 1960s with a modest peanut-peeling factory established by the family patriarch, Abraham Shkartzi. He was soon joined by his wife, Simcha, and their son, Jacob. Later, Gadi Aloni and Itzik Ruditi, who married into the family, became involved in the business. Together, they worked tirelessly, leading to the formal establishment of the company in 1982.

Through dedication, adherence to the highest industry standards, and continuous innovation, Shkartzi and its international wing, J&G Pecans, have built an outstanding reputation as Israel’s leading processor, roaster, and marketer of nuts and nut-based products.

Corporate responsibility values are central to the company’s mission. As a result, Shkartzi adheres strictly to the highest environmental and food safety standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 18000, ISO 14000, FSSC, and HACCP certifications. Additionally, all its products are certified kosher by Badatz HaEda HaCharedit.

The company employs 120 workers at its facilities in Hadera and the J&G PECANS factory in Caesarea. The company’s name derives from its most successful product, the Pecan—not just any Pecan, but the Honey-Roasted Pecan, which is called in Israel (for some reason) Chinese pecans. It’s a unique product that doesn’t exist anywhere else, and we are among the few manufacturers worldwide. We developed its complex preparation process, which takes two days and requires specialized equipment. We use local honey, but the process is a secret.

In Dubai, Chinese pecans are a key product. We also offer flavored coated peanuts, caramelized nuts, and nut clusters. We adapt our products to the industrial market, offering a variety of roasted, salted, sweet, and coated nuts in different styles
